The Summer Project

This is Lucy Bowler's full, eccentric mood board. What she told us was that to the right of the board are the celebrities she aspires to look like. These include Vanessa Hudgens, Drew Barrymore and Emma Stone. Moving towards the bottom right, there are photos of those which she would like to work with in the future, such as Alex Box and David Lachapelle, and an inspiration of hers is 'Candy Makeup'; an account on instagram. Moreover, she would like to be like the youtuber, Zoella. In regards to the future, she said that she does not know what she wants to pursue but would like to try fashion and film makeup. What I found interesting about Lucy's mood board is that it revolves around women and their makeup, and the photos show a broad range of looks which makes it apparent that makeup doesn't always follow conventional styles.

Next is Nicola Comer's mood board. What she told us was that the face in the middle is actually a timeline of how she wants her career to go. In addition to this, she told us that after she graduates, she would like to work in TV, Drama and Film. In addition to this, she would like to move to London and work in theatre on productions such as Cats. Her mood board had several inspirational quotes that talk about hard work and success, which are things that are required in order for her to achieve her goals. After theatre she would like to go to America and work with fashion, such as magazine work and doing makeup on celebrities as their personal makeup artist. Finally, she would like to get married. I like the fact that she has clear goals, which will make creating targets easier, and she won't be in two minds about which area she would like to go in. 

This is Taz Edwards' mood board. It is apparent by looking that she hasn't solely focused on make-up, but what her life goals are and what inspires her. Firstly, she spoke about where she wants her life to go. She said that she has been with her boyfriend for nearly 4 years, so she can envisage her future family, as family is important to her. Her aspirations include having nice cars and a nice house. She would like to be able to travel to all the major fashion cities in the world to do makeup etc, and would like to be Instagram famous for being a makeup icon. Taz isn't entirely sure what type of industry she would like to go in to but her interests include catwalk and personal makeup artistry. Overall, she would just like to be happy and healthy with a steady career. I enjoyed listening to her goals and aspirations in life, mostly because I also believe being happy and healthy while engaging in a busy job is important. 

Lastly is Mireia Bob. Unfortunately she did not receive the summer homework, however she did tell us about her aspirations in life. She told us that she aims to move to Los Angeles in 5 years to do makeup for movies, where she will earn a lot of money, or rather enough to live a comfortable life. She would like to have a lot of friends and no enemies, she wants to have her family around her and would overall like to be happy. She will work with anyone and wants to work and meet a lot of people, which would entail not working at the same place forever and being adventurous. I liked that Mireia wants to work internationally and focuses on having friends and family as well as a good job.
